Go to the FFL Commish homepage at www.fflcommish.com. Click on Login located at the bottom of the Main Menu.
Enter your User Name and Password to access your league. Or if you haven't already done so, click on Register to establish your account and begin creating your league. Click Continue when you've finished.
When you first register as a Commissioner you will not have a league assigned to you. You will need to create one, so click on the Create One link to begin the setup process.
Start creating your FFL Commish fantasy football league by first naming your league and then setting the total number of teams. Click Create Now! when you have finished.
Set the schedule for your league by indicating when the regular season starts and ends and then when your league's playoffs start and end. You can also divide your league into conferences and divisions. Input the correct numbers for each and then click Continue
Now choose the number of players that you want on each team roster. You can set a minimum and maximum roster size. Then set the number of each team's starting and reserve players.
Now choose the player positions and the number of those position players you want represented on your teams. In the example shown, each roster is required to have two running backs, but no more than four and two running backs will start for each team every week.
If you choose an entire team as a position rather than individual positions make sure to check Team Concept. For example a "Team PK" position means that all kicking stats for that team are included in the player's score rather than a specific individual.
Step 4 of setup is creating names for your conference(s) and divisions if you've chosen to divide your teams accordingly. Click Update when you're finished naming your conference(s), then name the divisions.
In the example shown, all teams play in the First and Ten Conference, but are divided into Eastside and Westside Divisions.
Click Continue when you're finished.
Now name all the teams in the league and set which conference and division each will play in. Click Update when finished.
Next, assign a team owner to each team. Double check to make sure the email is entered correctly, then check the Send Invite button. This will provide a hyperlink for each team owner to easily click and register for the league. Click Continue when finished.
Step 6 is setting the league schedule. Here you have two options; setting the schedule manually or using a schedule template.
If you choose to manually set the schedule, you have complete control over your league's schedule. You can choose any number of games you want played in a specific week. You can set up multiple games per team and create as many games as you wish. You can even have a different number of games each week.
Important! Be sure you click Update to save any changes before changing the week. Unsaved changes are discarded.
If your league parameters (Number of Teams, Weeks, Conferences, and Divisions) match a schedule in our database, you can have your league schedule automatically created. Once created, you can alter the schedule as you wish.
In the example below, a schedule template was chosen. After clicking on Generate Schedule, a grid showing Week 1's match-ups is displayed. Click Continue when the schedule has been created to satisfaction.
Likely, the most in-depth part of league setup will be creating the scoring rules. Though the page may appear a bit complex on the surface, it will likely make sense to you once you setup a rule or two.
Start by choosing a stat from the Category drop down menu. In the example below, the statistic is Rushing TD's.
Next, enter a point value to be awarded when the conditions of the rule are me. Now set the parameters for earning the points. In the example below, 10 points will be awarded for each rushing touchdown that's under 15 yards.
Finally, choose the player position(s) to which the scoring rule will be applied. In this case it's QB's, RB's, and WR's.
Click Save when finished creating your rule.
If, for example, you wish to award bonus points for longer rushing touchdowns, simply add an additional rule.
In this case, 15 points will be awarded for every rushing touchdown of 15 yards or more.
IMPORTANT!!! Make sure your rules are compatible. Don't assign overlapped values unless you intend to. For example you could set up a rule where 1-20 yard touchdowns are 10 points. And you could add a rule where 15-100 yard touchdowns are 15 points. Then any touchdown from 15-20 yards would be worth 25 points!
Featured below are a set of completed league rules.
The final step in league setup is specifying fee amounts to be charged when a team takes a certain action. If your league does not want to track fees online, simply do not check any fees active, and leave all values at zero.
A description of a number of fees is listed below. Add Player Fee: Incurred whenever a team adds a new player to the roster. Assessed per player. Drop Player Fee: Incurred whenever a team drops a new player from the roster. Assessed per player. Trade Player Fee: Incurred whenever a team trades a player with another team. Assessed per player. Per Trade Fee: Incurred whenever a team trades a player, or multiple players, with another team. Assessed once per trade, regardless of the number of players involved. Entry Fee: Incurred at the beginning of the season. Assessed once per season, per team. Waiver Wire Add: Incurred when a team acquires a player from the waiver wire. Waiver Wire Bid: Charge made when a team has the highest bid for a waiver wire player. The fee amount is the bid.
After initial setup is complete you can go back and make and necessary changes by clinking on the appropriate hyperlinks.
Once setup has been complete, the league homepage will appear similar to the example featured below.
